Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and hydraulic systems on heavy equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems
  • Test repaired equipment to ensure proper performance
  • Maintain accurate records and files for vehicle maintenance
  • Communicate effectively with managers and team members regarding repair status and concerns
  • Work collaboratively with the team to support daily operations
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and suggest positive changes

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited vocational technical school program or proof of enrollment
  • Registered Apprentice
  • Valid G driver's license (DZ license and clean driver's abstract an asset)
  • Basic tools and knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, ignition, cooling, and air brake systems
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to stand, lift, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
