Job Title: Field Heavy Equipment Technician

Brandt is seeking a skilled Field Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team at our Barrie Construction & Forestry location.

Job Summary:

This role is responsible for the repair and maintenance of construction and forestry based equipment and attachments. The successful candidate will have a strong mechanical background and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and diagnose equipment issues, perform repairs and maintenance, and ensure all work is completed safely and to accepted standards.
  • Use computer applications and information systems to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis.
  • Order parts and materials as needed, and road test equipment to ensure proper operation.
  • Work effectively with customers, the service team, and branch personnel to provide excellent customer service.
  • Meet physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 50 pounds, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
  • Previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment is preferred.
  • Certified Journeyperson in the Heavy Duty Equipment technician trade or equivalent designated trade is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Physical ability to meet the demands of the job.
