Math and English Educator Wanted

Oxford Learning Centres, Inc. is seeking a part-time Math and English Educator to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a Teacher-Tutor, you will work directly with students to help them develop their math and English skills.
Responsibilities- Teach math and English to students of all ages and skill levels
- Develop and implement lesson plans to meet the needs of individual students
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
- Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices in education
- Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field
- Fourth year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered
- Teaching certification an asset
- Good knowledge of the current Grades 1-12 math curriculum, particularly senior math and including, but not limited to, advanced functions, algebra, trigonometry and calculus, and vectors
- Some experience teaching/tutoring math at a Grade 9 to 12 (or equivalent) level
- Strong English written and oral communication skills
- Strong math skills and ability to guide students' understanding
- Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
- A competitive hourly rate of $17 - $19
