Job Title: SCM Data Governance Lead

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled SCM Data Governance Lead to join our team at Suncor Energy. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance on data governance, metadata management, and data quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement data governance strategies to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity.
  2. Provide training and support to data stakeholders on data governance best practices.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve data quality issues and improve data management processes.
  4. Develop and maintain data quality metrics and reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure Suncor Energy remains at the forefront of data governance and management.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in data governance, metadata management, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, metadata management, and data quality improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with data visualization tools.
