Audit and Assurance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Audit and Assurance Manager to join our team at Baker Tilly Trillium LLP. As a key member of our audit team, you will be responsible for directing and controlling engagements, developing and maintaining client relationships, and developing staff.
Key Responsibilities- Direct and control engagements, ensuring they are planned, scheduled, staffed, and carried out in a timely manner.
- Ensure the quality and quantity of work meets all Firm and Professional standards.
- Manage budgets and ensure engagements are completed on a timely basis.
- Support staff in the completion of work, providing technical expertise as needed.
- Review working papers, permanent files, checklists, management letters, and financial statements.
- Determine reasonableness of client explanations and identify and recommend creative solutions to complex issues.
- Prepare complex client correspondence, including proposals, reports, and discussion of technical issues.
- Develop and maintain accounting/auditing knowledge by reading policies, regulations, procedures, statutes, and manuals.
- Encourage and participate in development and education in areas that enhance the Firm's ability to deliver service.
- Coordinate and provide staff training and development.
- Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant Designation (CPA).
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in public accounting, including supervisor and managerial training.
