Primary Care Physician for Vancouver Acute Home-Based Treatment
Job Summary:Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Primary Care Physician to join our team in Vancouver Acute Home-Based Treatment. As a Primary Care Physician, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to patients with acute mental health needs.
Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive medical care to patients with acute mental health needs
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
- Prescribe medications and provide therapeutic interventions
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless transitions of care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care
- Medical degree and eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia
- Experience in a community health setting, preferably working with marginalized populations
- Knowledge of pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and families
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team
