Primary Care Physician

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Primary Care - Addiction Physician to provide seven-day/week coverage for the new Downtown Eastside Connections Addiction Team in the Downtown Eastside.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting the ongoing addiction needs of patients of Downtown Eastside Connections and in the development of an inter-professional shared care team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct clinical services to patients who present to and identify with Downtown Eastside Connections for their medical & addiction care.
- Foster a collaborative inter-professional practice environment that enhances client-centered services within the site and with associated programs.
- Work within a self-directed team of physicians and other inter-professional colleagues to achieve excellence in client-centered care.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP) certification.
- Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) membership.
- Completed the BCCSU Provincial Opioid Addiction Treatment Support Program (POATSP) training.
