Job Description

Veolia is seeking a highly skilled Technical Leader to join our team in Winnipeg. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and leadership in the development and implementation of capital projects related to our wastewater treatment facilities.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams on contract development, design, construction, and commissioning of capital projects.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize process equipment and improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate technical risks.
  • Provide technical advice and support to plant operations and maintenance teams.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients and project managers.
Requirements
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in wastewater treatment, with 8 years of experience in a leadership or technical expert role.
  • Professional Engineer in the Province of Manitoba or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Strong knowledge of process management, QA/QC procedures, safety, environmental, and facilities/capital equipment management.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position, with 100% of work performed at the Veolia office or on-site at our wastewater treatment facilities. A valid driver's license is required.

Veolia is committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for all employees. This position may involve exposure to industrial and construction plant hazards, including excavations, noise, heavy equipment, fumes, and chemicals.

Physical demands of this position include sitting, standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
