Job Description

Veolia is seeking a highly skilled Technical Leader to join our team in Winnipeg. As a Technical Leader, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and leadership to our wastewater treatment facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to our operations team to ensure the efficient and effective operation of our wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to optimize treatment processes and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with our operations team to identify and resolve technical issues and optimize plant performance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including plant operations and maintenance teams, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to our project management team to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure that our operations team has the necessary skills and knowledge to operate and maintain our wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor plant performance and provide technical guidance and support as needed.
  • Develop and maintain a working relationship with plant operations and maintenance teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to our project management team to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 12 years' experience in wastewater treatment, with a minimum of 8 years' experience in a leadership or technical expert role.
  • Professional Engineer in the Province of Manitoba or the ability to obtain within six months of employment.
  • Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
