**Estimated Salary Range:** CAD 40-43 per hour

**Job Description:**

As a Recreational Therapist with Greenstaff Medical Canada, you will be responsible for assessing clients' needs, abilities, and interests to develop individualized therapy plans. You will design and facilitate therapeutic recreation activities, including arts, music, sports, and social events.

The successful candidate will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support clients' goals and document progress. They will promote inclusive, engaging, and safe environments during activities and educate clients and families on the benefits of recreational therapy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess clients' needs, abilities, and interests to develop individualized therapy plans.
  • Design and facilitate therapeutic recreation activities, including arts, music, sports, and social events.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support clients' goals.
  • Document progress and adjust therapy plans as needed.
  • Promote inclusive, engaging, and safe environments during activities.

**Qualifications and Skills:**

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Recreational Therapy, Leisure Studies from an accredited School of Recreation Therapy.
  • Current certification with the British Columbia Therapeutic Recreation Association (BCTRA).
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those with chronic illnesses.
  • Previous experience in a health care facility.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Creativity, adaptability, and a passion for improving quality of life through recreation.

**Benefits:**

  • Competitive salary range: CAD 40-43 per hour.
  • Guaranteed 36 hours/week.
  • Overtime pay at 1.5 times regular rate.

**Additional Information:**

  • A valid driver's license may be required for some positions.
  • Candidates must provide immunization records, Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR certification, and a clear criminal record check.
