Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Making Waves Childcare Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist co-workers in housekeeping and cooking duties
  • Develop and implement child-care programs
  • Supervise staff, trainees or volunteers
  • Lead activities and encourage children to express creativity
  • Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports
  • Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings
Requirements:
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Ability to multitask and work in a team environment
  • Reliability and punctuality
