About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team at Kids Haven Childcare. As an Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our experienced educators in providing a nurturing and engaging environment for our children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Child Care and Education
    • Assist in the daily care and supervision of infants and toddlers, including bathing, diapering, and feeding.
    • Participate in storytelling, singing, and preparing crafts to engage children in activities.
    • Support the development of children's physical, cognitive, emotional, and social skills.
  • Administrative Support
    • Assist in maintaining accurate records of children's progress and development.
    • Contribute to staff meetings to discuss children's progress and any concerns.
  • Health and Safety
    • Ensure a safe and healthy environment for children, including adhering to infection control procedures.
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Collaborate with educators and other staff members to achieve common goals.
    • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Experience
    • At least 7 months of experience in a childcare setting.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Punctuality and dependability.
    • Excellent oral communication skills.
    • Flexibility and reliability.
    • Ability to work as part of a team.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position with 40 hours of work per week. The work environment is fast-paced and requires a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, and crouching.
