About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Early Childhood Assistant to join our team at 2523558 Alberta Ltd. as a key member of our childcare program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Engagement and Activities: Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts that foster creativity and learning.
  • Logistics and Support: Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods to ensure a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Observation and Reporting: Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Team Collaboration: Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children, ensuring a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain attention to detail in all aspects of childcare, including program planning and implementation.
  • Physical Demands: Combine sitting, standing, and walking to ensure a safe and active work environment.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in early childhood education or a related field.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Schedule: 32 hours per week, with a permanent employment contract.
