At Rockport Carrier Co. Inc., we are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely operating a semi-trailer truck to transport goods and materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and adjust routes to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions using computer equipment and GPS devices.
  • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner.
  • Arrange travel itineraries and make reservations as needed.
  • Load and unload goods safely and efficiently.
  • Obtain necessary permits and documents for international routes.
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and condition.
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Transport and handle dangerous goods safely and securely.
Requirements
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks)
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Valid passport
  • Driving record check (abstract)
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Willingness to travel cross-border, internationally, and for extended periods.
