RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to launch and grow high-speed connector technology, including setting the strategic vision for the product line, building and maintaining product roadmaps, and translating market/customer needs into product definitions/requirements.
  • Drive new business development in new markets and customers for the high-speed connector portfolio and pursue expanded opportunities in Amphenol's existing customer base.
  • Collaborate with global sales, field application engineering, and marketing teams to drive new technology go-to-market strategies and develop tools and support materials to facilitate new design wins.
  • Stay up-to-date on current industry applications and map future industry trends, translating them into a product plan that positions Amphenol solutions for success.
  • Analyze competitors and competitor products, identifying opportunities to outperform the competition and develop pricing strategies.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality, to drive growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction for the assigned product line.
  • Understand customers' technology needs and strategic direction, positioning the high-speed connector team with a value solution to meet customer needs.
  • This role requires a business owner mindset, with the ability to forecast bookings/revenues, develop pricing strategies, perform competitive analysis, and evaluate key capital investment ROI.
  • Local and international travel is required for customer visits, field engagements, and product development meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; MBA/MS desirable.
  • 10+ years of product management and business development experience, preferably in an electronics product line in a related market.
  • Experience managing product life cycles, including setting strategic vision, building and maintaining product roadmaps, and P&L ownership.
  • Experience launching new technology products into the telecom/datacom/AI/ML markets.
  • People management experience.

  • Well-organized and comfortable working in a matrixed environment, with the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional, geographically dispersed, and culturally diverse teams.
  • Strong technical aptitude combined with business acumen.
  • Ability to influence change in thought and behavior across all functional groups.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills at all levels, from manufacturing floor to executive management team.
  • Attention to detail, while maintaining perspective on top-level goals.
  • Willing to travel globally and work in a global business structure, with a significant travel requirement (40-50%).
