Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Social Work Educator to join their Regional Overdose Outreach team as a Clinical Resource in Vancouver, BC.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and dedicated professional to provide clinical education services, including individual and group learning assessments, developing, implementing, and evaluating clinical education programs and resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical education services to staff, including individual and group learning assessments, developing, implementing, and evaluating clinical education programs and resources.
  • Act as a clinical resource by providing consultation and clinical support to the interdisciplinary care team, other professionals, and students.
  • Consult, confer, and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, physicians, educational resources, and other healthcare professionals to achieve excellence in client-centred education and research.
  • Develop and implement educational programs and resources using specialized theory and knowledge of substance use and mental health, as well as teaching and learning principles and processes.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Social Work from a recognized program.
  • Current registration with the British Columbia College of Social Workers.
  • Three (3) years' recent, related experience working with clients with complex needs, including outreach experience, primary care, mental health, and/or substance use.
  • One (1) year's experience developing, implementing, and/or delivering education services.
