At Fraser Health, we are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at the Jim Pattison Outpatient Care & Surgery Centre in Surrey, BC. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Salary: CAD $37.89 - $47.31 per hour

About the Role:
- Provide respiratory therapy services to outpatients referred to the respiratory clinics
- Perform pulmonary function procedures such as spirometry, lung volume determination, diffusion capacity, inhalation challenges, arterial blood punctures, oximetry with exercise, overnight oximetry, cardiopulmonary stress tests, FeNo, sputum inductions, and home oxygen assessments
- Complete and maintain testing documents and records
- Teach patients and families about pulmonary function, medication, and monitoring techniques, exercise routines, and coping skills
- Coordinate and conduct exercises with patients to improve exercise tolerance and support their care plan
- Monitor pulmonary function equipment and ensure calibration and quality checks are performed
- Support outpatient respiratory services by participating in selected research activities and providing input on new equipment, procedures, and employee selection
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
- Successful completion of the Canadian Board of Respiratory Care credentialing exam
- One year of recent, related Respiratory Therapy experience in a clinic and diagnostic setting or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Eligible for membership with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) and British Columbia Society of Respiratory Therapists (BCSRT)
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Level C certification
