The Amazon Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) team is committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our employees. Our goal is to provide resources, best practices, and safe environments to proactively manage health and wellbeing in the workplace. To support this objective, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic Onsite Medical Representative (OMR). In this role, you will work closely with the WHS site manager, WHS specialist, and occasionally the Injury Prevention Specialist (IPS). Your responsibilities include attending weekly associate safety committee meetings, greeting new hires, and participating in case management review meetings as necessary.
You will be responsible for independently assessing and administering first aid, providing guidance on occupational and non-occupational injuries or illnesses, and referring care to outside medical providers when needed. You should be passionate about promoting health and wellness principles to support associates daily. Additionally, you will maintain all records of care provided and coordinate workers' compensation and return-to-work programs for associates with work-related injuries.
This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with associates and leadership on the operations floor. You must be proficient in maintaining a clean working environment and ensuring appropriate medical supply inventory. Certification in first aid, CPR, and AED is required within three weeks of hire date.
