Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled Second Cook to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you'll be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food in a fast-paced environment. If you're passionate about cooking, have a keen eye for detail, and thrive in a team-oriented setting, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food in our kitchen, adhering to menu specifications and quality standards
• Operate individual stations within the kitchen, working closely with first cooks and CDPs to ensure seamless service
• Report to the kitchen CDP and First Cooks, maintaining open communication and a positive attitude
• Control food waste, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing environmental impact
• Follow and ensure compliance with safe food handling policies, including personal hygiene procedures
• Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to leadership
• Protect company assets and maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance
• Support employee culture, using clear and professional language, listening, and responding appropriately to concerns
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with other departments, contributing to a collaborative and inclusive work environment
• Support your team to reach common goals, ensuring adherence to quality expectations and standards

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of commercial cooking or professional kitchen experience
• Culinary management diploma and/or cooking certificate is an asset for this position
