We are seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at Standard Truck & Crane Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across the country.
Key Responsibilities- Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods from our trucks, ensuring that all cargo is properly secured and accounted for.
- Operate Heavy Vehicles: Drive our straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain our vehicles, performing routine checks on tires, lights, brakes, and other essential systems.
- Communication: Receive and relay information to our central dispatch team, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
- Record Keeping: Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
- Driver's License: Possess a valid Class 1 or A driver's license.
- Experience: While experience is an asset, we welcome candidates with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Language: Fluency in English is required.
- Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, with regular breaks and time off.
