About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Finisher to join our team at QPDP. As a Drywall Finisher, you will be responsible for ensuring that our drywall installations are of the highest quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Clean and prepare surfaces to ensure a strong bond between drywall sheets and compound.
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and create a seamless finish.
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in the finish coat, if required.
  • Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets to ensure a precise fit.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow the coat to dry to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound to create a strong bond.
  • Work at heights on scaffolding or swing stages to complete drywall installations.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience in drywall finishing is an asset.
  • Ability to work at heights on scaffolding or swing stages.
  • Ability to work in a dusty, hot, and noisy environment.
  • Ability to work in commercial, residential, and various locations.
