Parts Person Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Parts Person to join our team at Brandt, a leading manufacturer and distributor of heavy-duty truck parts. As a Parts Person, you will play a critical role in assisting customers with their parts needs, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse and distribution center.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Unload, receive, and store incoming parts and materials in the warehouse and yard
  • Locate and ship parts and materials to customers and other branches
  • Provide assistance to service technicians as required
  • Place inventory stock orders and make adjustments as needed
  • Accurately document and report all shipping, receiving, inventory, and stock information
  • Operate parts and warehousing equipment and computer systems
Requirements:
  • Effective customer service skills and ability to build lasting relationships with customers
  • Flexible work schedule to accommodate peak seasons, including shift work, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Proven leadership and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication skills and ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents and procedures
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Solid foundation of parts and warehousing knowledge and skills
  • Previous experience in the parts industry preferred
  • Journeyperson certification considered an asset
