About the Role

This position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our retail store, including managing staff, ordering merchandise, and authorizing returns. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Description
  • Supervise Staff: Manage and train a team of sales workers, ensuring they are equipped to provide exceptional customer service and meet sales targets.
  • Assign Duties: Allocate tasks and responsibilities to staff members, taking into account their strengths and weaknesses.
  • Hire and Train: Recruit and train new staff members, providing them with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in the role.
  • Order Merchandise: Source and purchase merchandise, ensuring that stock levels are maintained and customers have access to a wide range of products.
  • Authorize Returns: Review and approve returns, ensuring that customers are satisfied with their purchases and that the company's policies are upheld.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules, ensuring that staff members are available to work during peak periods.
  • Sell Merchandise: Sell products to customers, using excellent communication and negotiation skills to meet sales targets.
  • Prepare Reports: Compile and analyze sales data, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Secondary (High) School Graduation Certificate: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience: 1-6 months of experience in a retail environment is preferred.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff members.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
