Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspections on incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to verify conformance to specifications and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspection results, non-conformance reports, and quality-related documentation in compliance with internal requirements.
  • Identify and document any non-conformances, collaborating with engineering and production teams to facilitate corrective actions.
  • Assist in developing and implementing quality assurance processes and procedures to improve product quality.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and the PMO teams, to resolve quality issues and ensure adherence to quality standards, and to meet deadlines.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives by analyzing data, identifying trends, and recommending process enhancements.
  • Train and support quality technicians and co-ops.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience; post-secondary education in quality or related discipline considered an asset.
  • Minimum of 5 years related work experience in a custom machining environment.
  • Proficient in using inspection equipment including CMM Zeiss Calypso Software.
  • Knowledge of optical 3D scan metrology software such as Zeiss ATOS is an asset.
  • Proficient in using GD&T concepts in manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of ISO9001:2015/AS9100D.
  • Proficiency in using inspection tools and measurement equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) techniques.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
