About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Light Duty Cleaner at A-1 Choice Carpet Cleaning and Janitorial Services. As a key member of our cleaning team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our customers and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, clean and disinfect kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, clean and disinfect elevators, and perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Provide diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience
  • Ability to work 30 to 40 hours per week
  • English language proficiency
