We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Worker to join our team at Matelas Avanti inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for transporting items throughout the plant using powered equipment, as well as manually moving raw materials, finished products, and equipment. Your attention to detail will be crucial in checking and weighing materials and products, and ensuring they are properly sorted, packed, and crated.

In addition to your operational responsibilities, you will also play a vital role in supporting the social and labour market integration of newcomers and refugees, as well as offering on-the-job training tailored to youth and phased re-entry options for mature workers. Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport items throughout the plant using powered equipment
  • Transport raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the plant manually
  • Check and weigh materials and products
  • Sort, pack, crate, and package materials and products
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas
  • Support the social and labour market integration of newcomers and refugees
  • Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth
  • Offer phased re-entry options for mature workers

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labour
