Job Description

B.C. Ltd. is seeking a skilled Drywall Finisher to join our team. As a Drywall Finisher, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall sheets to create smooth surfaces for painting and decoration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for drywall installation
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Filling joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife
  • Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
  • Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound
  • Cut openings in lath for heating and ventilation piping, ducts and electrical outlets
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience
  • Ability to work at heights, in noisy environments and at various locations
  • Physically demanding work, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling and lifting up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
