About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Flooring Specialist to join our team at Delight Development Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining various types of flooring in commercial, residential, and rural settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered, ensuring accurate installation
  • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding to create a solid foundation
  • Prepare detailed flooring plans and schedules to ensure timely completion
  • Install carpeting, resilient floor coverings, and hardwood floors with precision and attention to detail
  • Conduct thorough tests to ensure optimal flooring conditions
  • Estimate costs and materials for each project, ensuring budgetary accuracy
  • Prepare floors for installation, including cleaning and preparing surfaces
Work Environment

As a Flooring Specialist, you will work in a variety of settings, including commercial, residential, and rural areas. You will be exposed to dusty environments and will need to work in a physically demanding role.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Will train on the job, with opportunities for professional growth and development
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
