We are seeking a skilled Culinary Professional to join our team at Jack's Family Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including complete meals and individual items, to meet the needs of our customers.
- Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including the preparation and storage of food, cleaning of equipment, and disposal of waste.
- Inventory Management: Order and manage inventory of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure that we have the necessary resources to meet customer demand.
- Team Support: Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure that we are providing excellent service to our customers.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen environment.
- Work Setting: Restaurant environment.
- Support for Newcomers and Refugees: We offer support for newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition and provide diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment.
- Support for Indigenous People: We offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers and provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees.
- Work Term: Permanent.
- Work Language: English.
- Hours: 35 hours per week.
