IT Infrastructure Specialist

Fiji Water, a leading beverage company, is seeking an IT Infrastructure Specialist to join its team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT support and be able to provide robust and stable operating platforms.

Salary:

$65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description:

The IT Infrastructure Specialist will be responsible for evaluating and recommending solutions, planning and executing implementation, including installation and management of hardware, operating systems and applications. This includes developing, monitoring, and enforcing security policies as they relate to various systems, ensuring design of systems allows all components to work properly together.

Key responsibilities include troubleshooting and analysis for issue resolution of numerous systems, implementing corrective actions and recommending operational improvements. The successful candidate will also accept escalated tickets in a timely fashion and troubleshoot all incidents to bring restoration of service as quickly as possible.

Additionally, the IT Infrastructure Specialist will participate in systems backup and disaster recovery, diagnose and correlate complex systems problems, identify root causes, and develop remediation strategies. Daily system monitoring and verification of integrity and availability of all hardware, server, and storage systems are also key responsibilities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

A degree in Computer Science/Information Systems is required, along with a minimum of 3 years in an IT support role. Experience in providing user support, attending to faults, and diagnosing problems is essential. Strong understanding of Virtualization, Active Directory, Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) and Group Policy Objects (GPOs) is also required.
