Job Title: Senior I&IT Architect

Randstad Canada is seeking a highly skilled Senior I&IT Architect to join our team. As a key member of our Enterprise Architecture Services Team, you will play a critical role in assessing and designing enterprise solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

About the Role:

This is a contract position for a Senior I&IT Architect - Intermediate for our public sector client. The successful candidate will work on a hybrid role that requires onsite presence 3 days a week. The role involves supporting assessments of architecture of enterprise solutions, leading design and implementation of capabilities workshops, and defining technology capabilities for GSIC enterprise solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support assessments of architecture of enterprise solutions
  • Lead design and implementation of capabilities workshops across Practices
  • Define technology capabilities for GSIC enterprise solutions
  • Align GSIC technology capabilities
  • Compile a list of potential business capabilities, leveraging GSIC enterprise product information and existing capability reference models
  • Validate the candidate capabilities with the enterprise service SMEs
  • Add capabilities to the GSIC Enterprise Products spreadsheet
  • Create cross-map the enterprise products with the business capabilities
  • Create GSIC Business Capability Map and create a graphical view of the business capabilities provided by the GSIC enterprise services
Requirements:
  • Experience in developing Technology Capabilities
  • Experience in defining Target State Architecture and Application Portfolio Roadmaps
  • Certification in Azure and architecture frameworks
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure
  • Experience building custom APIs and web services
  • Proficiency in all cloud service models: SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS
  • Experience with Agile methodologies including using kanban/task boards
  • Experience building custom code backend systems
  • Expert knowledge of Cloud Security Principles such as Azure AD B2C Authentication, Okta Authentication
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience designing enterprise level cloud native architectures
  • Experience with Zachman artefacts
  • Experience with Architecture governance
  • Experience designing microservices
  • Experience leading the architecture design from conception through to implementation
  • Experience designing cloud systems using IaaS, PaaS and SaaS components
  • Working knowledge of interoperability, integration and capability with cloud technologies
  • Working knowledge of both low code development and custom development on Azure
  • Expert knowledge developing APIs especially RESTful web services
  • Working knowledge with data design and development
  • Working knowledge of development in Azure technologies
  • Working knowledge of multiple back end and front end technologies including java,.net, JAM stack etc.
  • Working knowledge of DevOps, task boards, pipelines, etc.
