Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Host to join our team at Toridori. As a Host, you will be responsible for creating a positive guest experience from the moment they arrive at our restaurant. You will be the first point of contact for our guests and will be responsible for managing the flow of guests, ensuring that they are seated promptly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Experience: Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our guests, ensuring that they feel valued and respected throughout their dining experience.
  • Guest Flow Management: Manage the flow of guests, ensuring that they are seated promptly and efficiently, and that the restaurant is running smoothly.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with servers, bartenders, and managers to ensure that the restaurant is running smoothly and that guests are receiving excellent service.
  • Reservations: Take reservations over the phone and in person, ensuring that guests are seated at the time they request.
  • Front of House Maintenance: Ensure that the front of house area, including the host stand and surrounding areas, are clean and well-maintained.
  • Knowledge of the Restaurant: Be familiar with the menu, drinks, and other aspects of the restaurant, in order to answer guest questions and make recommendations.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work well under pressure, and a strong attention to detail.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
