Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain Equipment: Operate electronic or computerized control panels from a central control room, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our drilling and service rigs.
  • Training and Development: Participate in the training of other workers, developing their skills and knowledge to ensure a high level of performance and safety.
  • Process Control: Control process start-up, shut-down, and troubleshooting, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Safety and Compliance: Participate in safety audits and programs, ensuring that our operations meet the highest standards of safety and compliance.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Monitor outside process equipment, adjust equipment, valves, pumps, and controls, and process equipment, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Procedure Development: Develop operator procedures for normal operation, start-up, or shut-down, ensuring that our operations are safe and efficient.
  • Teamwork: Rotate between different petroleum, gas, and chemical processing units during shift cycles, working collaboratively with other team members to achieve our goals.
  • Adherence to Regulations: Ensure adherence to safety regulations, ensuring that our operations meet the highest standards of safety and compliance.
  • Physical Demands: Manipulate sections of pipes or drill stems at the rig floor during drilling and during removal and replacement of pipes, drill stems, and drill bits, ensuring that our operations are safe and efficient.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Clean up rig areas, ensuring that our operations are safe and efficient.
  • Equipment Transport: Assist in setting up, taking down, and transporting drilling and service rigs and service equipment, ensuring that our operations are safe and efficient.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Certifications: Electronic General Safety Orientation (EGSO), Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate, Industrial First Aid Certificate, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate, CPR Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness (H2S) Certificate.
  • Physical Demands: Repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, attention to detail, and combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Personal Suitability: Initiative and team player.
