The Technical Support Group Staffing Services Ltd. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our client's maintenance department. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing and supervising a team of maintenance staff, with a strong background in mechanical or electrical engineering, and excellent communication and leadership skills.



  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department.
  • Prioritize and assign tasks to maintenance staff to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and performance metrics.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability.
  • Act as a liaison between the maintenance department and other teams, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize maintenance processes.

 


Requirements


 



  • 7+ years of experience leading a maintenance department in a manufacturing environment.
  • Certified Engineering Technologist (CET), Certified Journeyman Millwright or Electrician, or bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Experience in managing major projects while setting and maintaining priorities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a unionized environment.
  • Proactive mindset geared towards safety, with excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
