Department Store Manager

ÉPICERIE GOUT D'AFRIQUE is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Department Store Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our produce department, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Assign sales workers to duties and oversee their performance
- Order merchandise and manage inventory levels to meet customer demand
- Authorize returns and resolve customer complaints in a professional manner
- Establish work schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels
- Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions
- Organize and maintain inventory, including stock shelves and display areas
- Supervise and coordinate activities of workers, including cash handling and customer service
- Manage cash and maintain accurate records
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail or supervisory role
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) and stand for extended periods
