About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Framing Carpenter to join our team at SBR Commercial Services Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient construction of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare Building Layouts: Use measuring tools to create accurate layouts in accordance with building codes.
  • Woodworking and Assembly: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
  • Construction and Installation: Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Finishing Touches: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various establishments.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Site Conditions: Work at heights, in confined spaces, and in dusty environments.
  • Physical Demands: Bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, and working under tight deadlines.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Schedule: 30 to 40 hours per week.
