About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Construction Cleaner to join our team at RJS Contracting Services. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our apartment/condominium complex, commercial building, and residential properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs to maintain a clean and safe environment for our residents and employees.
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse from our properties.
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers to prevent litter and maintain a clean environment.
  • Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings to ensure a clean and well-maintained appearance.
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies to facilitate cleaning and maintenance tasks.
  • Perform routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair to maintain the overall condition of our properties.
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas to ensure safe access to our properties.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Handling heavy loads is a requirement of this role, as you will be responsible for moving heavy furniture and equipment.
  • Physically demanding tasks are a regular part of this role, including bending, crouching, and kneeling.
Personal Suitability
  • Dependability is essential in this role, as you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Flexibility is also important, as you may be required to work varying shifts and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Judgement and Reliability are also key qualities for this role, as you will be working independently and making decisions about how to complete tasks.
