Compensation Package

The estimated annual salary for this position is $80,000-$110,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Electrician-Panels to join our team in Nisku, Alberta. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and terminating conduit wire, cable, equipment, panels, sensors, and various control components and devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviews blueprints and specifications to ensure designs function as intended in their environment.
  • Provides material take-offs for electrical facilities equipment requirements.
  • Constructs electrical control panels, rough and finish wiring, and control systems.
  • Installs system components and wiring in compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Diagnoses, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains electrical control circuits for motors and control devices.
  • Proposes changes or modifications to plans to enhance system efficiency and operation.
  • Assists in training and directing junior employees and apprentices, inspecting and certifying their work.
  • Evaluates accuracy and completion of assigned tasks and projects.
  • Provides technical assistance and emergency response for existing facility electrical systems.
  • Cleans, lubricates, and performs other maintenance work, keeping detailed reports and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Licensed Journeyman Electrician in Alberta.
  • Industrial Electrician Trade Certification, 5th Period Apprentice, Industrial Electrician Red Seal Certificate.
  • Able to work independently in a busy environment.
  • Experience with routine maintenance operations.
  • Flexible, with strong interpersonal skills for a diverse working environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Able to work well under pressure, with attention to detail.
  • Diplomatic and professional interaction with colleagues at all times.
