We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Groves Memorial Community Hospital. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality patient care, adhering to the standards of nursing practice and hospital policies
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Conduct thorough assessments, identify patient needs, and develop effective care strategies
- Administer medications, treatments, and other interventions as prescribed
- Monitor patient progress, adjusting care plans as needed
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety
- Current Ontario RN Certificate of Competence
- BScN is an asset
- Membership in RNAO and CNA is an asset
- Current BCLS
- More OB
- ACLS or willing to obtain within months
- Maternal Child Course or relevant clinical experience for exemption
- NRP
- Cardiac monitoring skills (ECG application & interpretation, cardiac arrhythmia interpretation) or commitment to obtain within months
- Competent to start IV or commitment to obtain within months
- Competent in phlebotomy or commitment to obtain within months
- Certified for defibrillation or competent in months
- TNCC recommended
- ENPC/PALS recommended
- Ability to work in all areas of the hospital
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to function as an effective team member
- Ability to assume a leadership/charge role
- Commitment to continuing education and departmental educational activities
