Site Supervisor

About the Role:
The Site Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our facilities, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This includes participating in the hiring, training, and performance management of employees, as well as providing coaching and feedback to team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the hiring, training, and scheduling of employees
- Provide coaching, feedback, and recognition to team members
- Ensure a high degree of employee engagement and retention through strong leadership practices
- Use technology to lead and manage team members
- Ensure that performance standards are met and complaints are addressed
- Ensure that scheduled hours and actual hours are in line with budget
- Report maintenance issues and ensure follow-up
Requirements:
- 5+ years in a supervisory or management role required
- Work experience or knowledge of the Building Maintenance Service industry is required
- Union experience preferred
- Demonstrated success in people management, either in a prior management role or equivalent experience
- The ability to successfully pass a reliability clearance and criminal record check
- Excellent communication skills with clients and stakeholders
- Experience developing and fostering positive team environments
- Excellent communication and the ability to candidly have tough conversations
- Strong emotional intelligence and maturity
- Organized with strong follow-through
- Great problem solver
Working Conditions:
- This is a large facility and the Site Supervisor must be present in various areas throughout the shift
- Reports to an Operations Manager
- Manages Lead Hands and Cleaners
Interview Process:
- Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a 10-minute phone discussion
- 1st interview - 30-minute hiring manager interview
- 2nd interview - 1-hour site visit
