Job Summary

Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Environmental Service Aide to join our team. As an Environmental Service Aide, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure that all areas of the hospital are clean and well-maintained, including patient rooms, common areas, and equipment.
  • Restock and maintain supplies of cleaning materials and equipment.
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and floor polishers.
  • Participate in infection control and prevention initiatives, including proper hand hygiene and waste disposal.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a smooth and efficient cleaning process.
Requirements
  • Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
