Job Title: Optical Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Optical Data Engineer to join our team at Enablence USA Components Inc. As an Optical Data Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the development of optical waveguide circuit devices, setting up and improving device testing.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop robust code to analyze data from complex optical chips and create reports.
  • Analyze data for trends and identify areas for automation.
  • Maintain optical data in MongoDB database and ensure data collection systems are accurate and reliable.
  • Learn and implement internal optical design tools to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Support analysis of collected data and help prepare detailed reports to drive business decisions.
  • Contribute to the creation of monitors, alerts, dashboards, and metrics to drive continuous improvements.
Requirements:
  • Proven expertise in Python, Git, and MongoDB.
  • Able to convert mathematical ideas into code and familiar with Fourier transform and related functions.
  • Familiarity with the physics of light propagation and experience with designing optical chips is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and flexible schedule.
  • M.S. (Ph.D. is welcome) in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related fields.
