About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Specialist to join our team at WSP. As a key member of our environmental team, you will play a critical role in navigating Impact Assessment requirements, environmental permitting, and related authorization processes relevant to energy projects in Canada.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective environmental assessment strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate environmental risks and impacts
  • Prepare and submit high-quality environmental impact statements and reports to regulatory agencies
  • Provide expert advice on environmental permitting and authorization processes
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in environmental regulations and policies
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, or a related field
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in environmental impact assessment and permitting
  • Proven track record of success in navigating complex environmental regulations and policies
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
