About the Role:

SOUTHVIEW TRUCKING LTD is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing heavy trucks, as well as maintaining and repairing diesel engines and transmissions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and other heavy truck components
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations
  • Diagnose and repair issues with hydraulic systems, air conditioning systems, and other complex systems
  • Work with a variety of tools and equipment, including welding equipment and diagnostic software
  • Collaborate with other technicians and mechanics to ensure efficient and effective repairs

Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy equipment technician
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, and other heavy truck components
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
