Job Title: Front Desk Hotel Clerk

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Front Desk Hotel Clerk to join our team at Pinedale Inn. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable stay.

Responsibilities:
  • Register arriving guests and assign rooms in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Process group arrivals and departures, taking care to ensure all guests are accounted for.
  • Take, cancel, and change room reservations as needed, maintaining accurate records.
  • Provide guests with information on hotel facilities and services, as well as recommendations for local attractions.
  • Process guests' departures, calculate charges, and receive payments in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments, ensuring seamless communication with the front desk team.
  • Follow emergency and safety procedures, prioritizing the well-being of guests and staff.
  • Answer telephone calls and relay messages to guests and staff, providing excellent communication skills.
  • Assist guests with special needs, demonstrating empathy and a commitment to exceptional service.
  • Contact guests to deliver requested wake-up calls, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Provide customer service, responding to guest inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience in a hotel or hospitality setting is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Language:

English is the primary language of communication in this role.
