Job Title: Sign Language Interpreter

We are seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to join our team at Sorenson Communications. As a Sign Language Interpreter, you will play a critical role in facilitating communication between Deaf and hearing individuals.

Job Summary:

Our customers rely on us to deliver accuracy in every conversation, and we are seeking a talented Sign Language Interpreter to join our team.

Responsibilities:
  • Effectively interpret between American Sign Language (ASL) and spoken English
  • Maintain compliance with national, state, or local licensure and/or certification requirements
  • Demonstrate full compliance with Sorenson standards and policies, FCC regulations, and the RID Code of Professional Conduct
  • Accurately complete assigned tasks, projects, and paperwork promptly and within approved guidelines
  • Work effectively in a team environment and receive support from and provide support to colleagues
Requirements:
  • Ability to pass our required skills assessment
  • A high school diploma or GED
  • An associate's or bachelor's degree (preferred, but not required)
  • Interpreter certification
  • Years of experience working as an interpreter (preferred, but not required)
