Industrial Millwright Technician

Canam Group is seeking a skilled Industrial Millwright to join our team. As an Industrial Millwright, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving plant facilities, machinery, and control systems to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform preventative, corrective, and redesign maintenance on plant facilities, machinery, and control systems.
- Repair critical equipment and ensure optimum plant operation by protecting daily production and maintenance schedules.
- Apply technical knowledge and skills to repair and maintain industrial machinery and equipment.
- Support spare parts inventory and work order business processes.
- Maintain a safe, neat, and clean working environment and comply with all legislated and company health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Licensed 433A Millwright certification.
- Working knowledge of MIG/ARC welding.
- Experience working in a Lean manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of lathe, milling machine, grinder, and hand tools.
- Ability to communicate, read, and write in English.
- Familiarity with working at heights and lock-out tag-out procedures.
Constant exposure to a steel fabrication environment and regular exposure to weather conditions, excessive noise levels, and vibrations.
Often works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to fumes and airborne particles.
Working at heights using aerial work platforms, working near energized systems including pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical.
