Job Title: Tile Setter

We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team at NOVAX TILE LTD. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for preparing, measuring, and marking surfaces to be covered with tile, as well as mixing, applying, and spreading mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using a hand trowel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare surfaces for tile installation by cleaning, repairing, and applying a layer of adhesive.
  • Measure and mark surfaces to ensure accurate tile placement.
  • Mix and apply mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives to secure tiles in place.
  • Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base.
  • Align and straighten tiles to ensure a level and even surface.
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools.
  • Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout.
  • Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles.
  • Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs.
Requirements:
  • Physically demanding work environment.
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and work at heights.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
  • Ability to distinguish between colors and work with a variety of tile materials.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
