We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team at Basmala Flooring Ltd. as a key member of our installation team.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and measure surfaces to be covered with tiles, ensuring accurate and precise measurements.
- Mix and apply adhesives, such as mortar, cement, and mastic, using hand trowels to create a strong bond between the tile and the surface.
- Prepare detailed plans and sketches to visualize the tile layout and ensure a seamless installation process.
- Set tiles in place, applying pressure to secure them to the base, and align and straighten tiles to achieve a professional finish.
- Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools, ensuring a precise fit.
- Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout to create a clean and polished finish.
- Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles, maintaining the integrity of the installation.
- Build underbeds and install anchor bolts, wires, and brackets to support the tile installation.
- Cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite tiles, requiring attention to detail and precision.
- Estimate costs and materials for tile installations, ensuring accurate and efficient project planning.
- Mix, lay, and polish terra surfaces, requiring a strong understanding of tile installation techniques.
- Install tile strips, ensuring a seamless transition between tile and surface.
- Bending, crouching, and kneeling are essential physical capabilities for this role.
