About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Supervisor to join our team at GP Pacific Contracting. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing construction projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Oversight: Supervise construction projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of construction workers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to complete projects successfully.
  • Site Coordination: Coordinate and schedule activities, including setting up equipment, requisitioning materials, and ensuring health and safety regulations are followed.
  • Training and Development: Train or arrange for training to ensure workers have the necessary skills and knowledge to complete projects.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and ensure that all work meets the required quality standards.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and other team members.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Recruit and support newcomers and refugees who were displaced by a conflict or natural disaster.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations.
  • Support for Visible Minorities: Apply hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
